hissy fit
ok, if none of you want to be in the book club that is fine, it was a good try. therefore, if david does not want to pick a book then it is up to free game. anyone who would like to pick the book let me know in the next week. if no one picks a book then i will pick the book and be in the book club by myself, i like myself and therefore have no problem with this. Therefore, if no one picks a book in the next week then the book is 'moneyball'. its about baseball, i've already started it and its very interesting, it does have some f-words in it, so be aware of that. anyway, i want everyone in the book club but if no one else has time then it will be me and this computer. i hope everyone decides to have time. if you did read the previous book then PLEASE comment. otherwise i will assume it was me and washington trudging it out. Thanks. and yes this is a hissy fit i apoligize i just really wanted this book club to work.

Hey Christie, I spaced writing the other day. I am sorry. I want this to work.
ReplyDeleteDo you think you could set the blog so we all got an email when someone makes a post or comments? Because with this being new to all of us, we all need reminders. I forgot to look on the blog the first few days of May, and then didn't notice your hissy fit post until two days later.
And could we all be included as authors? That way, each of us would have the hydebooks blog show up on our dashboards or google readers, which would be extra helpful.
As for your comments about the book, they were great. They were well thought out and rich, but it was a lot to take as I hadn't looked at the books for three weeks. I had been expecting you to write a standard list of 3-5 book club questions to create more of an open, guided discussion. I looked up some 1776 questions and there are many helpful web pages that came up.
What do you think? I would be happy to help things get moving along if you want me to.
i tried to have everyone be an author, i put everyone's address on as an author when i first made the blog. i must not have your email. yeah i guess i dont really know how to do a book club. i love the suggetions, keep em coming. i dont know how to do this. why dont we give up on 1776 and move on to a new book. would you like to pick it? David doesn't really care. why dont you pick. you can take this month? thanks
ReplyDeletechristie, i'm just now seeing the hissy fit. i forgot to check this. i read 1776 back when we started this. i like annie's idea of getting an email. i think everyone just forgot to check. it's new and it's a once-a-month check so you just forget.
